About Dr. Ziyad Ben Taleb
Dr. Ziyad Ben Taleb is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Nicotine and Tobacco Research Laboratory at the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Ben Taleb is a Fulbright scholar with an extensive training in public health and medicine. His research examines smoking cessation and the epidemiology of tobacco use with a focus on investigating the health effects associated with exposure to emerging tobacco products, such as hookah (waterpipe) and electronic cigarettes. Dr. Ben Taleb’s regulatory science research utilize the use of clinical laboratory models, epidemiological surveys and social media to guide the development of tobacco control policies.
